Manager (Education Resources, Research, & Comms) Nature Classrooms
I completed my Masters in Wildlife Conservation Action from the Institute of Environment Education and Research, Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVIEER), where my thesis explored perceptions of visitors towards the ecological and aesthetic aspects of urban parks in Mumbai using visitor-employed photography. This experience deepened my interest in urban ecology and understanding how people connect with nature and how nature learning can help foster these connections.
Today, this interest shapes my work at Nature Classrooms, where I am designing the Nature Education Assessment Framework (NEAF) — a collaborative, open-source toolkit for assessing the effectiveness of nature education programmes in India. Alongside NEAF, I also develop nature learning resources and support ongoing projects at Nature Classrooms, to design and implement age-appropriate, locally and culturally relevant, and accessible nature learning as an integral part of classroom and community spaces.
