Ishita Bose Sarkar

Director, Teach for Nature Fellowship – Bhoomi College

Ishita Bose Sarkar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. She started her career as an artist in the advertising industry. She then moved to the education field in 1990. She has worked in Prakriya Green Wisdom School since its initial years and has held the roles of Coordinator, and Head Mistress. Her interest of fostering creative expression in children and fellow teachers enabled her to anchor many creative productions.

She is the director for Bhoomi’s Teach for Nature fellowship. She is also a facilitator with Bhoomi College and anchors sessions for students on education, sustainable living, art and music. She has anchored workshops for teachers and parents to co create learning spaces. She has completed her internship in process work and has been facilitator for Bhoomi’s Sankalan programmes & Aastha Foundation.

She is passionate about music and enjoys learning and teaching songs by Kabir and Tagore.
